Spreadsheets were never built for this
The team behind SPS started as individual stock investors managing their own portfolios. Like most, we tracked everything in spreadsheets — manually looked up prices, copy-pasted figures, and struggled to interpret the numbers.
Institutional investors had Bloomberg terminals and proprietary software. Everyone else had Excel. We saw a clear gap in the market and decided to close it.
A system built on real investor pain
Every feature in SPS exists because we personally needed it. Live market data because delayed prices cost us money. Automated P&L calculations because manual maths caused errors. Price alerts because we couldn't monitor screens all day.
Today, SPS can serve individual investors, financial advisers, and small brokerages in Tanzania.
